Peppers and Onions!!!

In my expert gardening opinion, we recently experienced a once in a lifetime event in our garden. The planets aligned which caused one of our jalapenos turned a bright red. Maybe our squirrel friend is mad at us because we are not giving him treats anymore and put a curse on the jalapeno. All of the other jalapenos are still green, so we are unsure what caused it. Either it is a sign that I am the man, which would not be a huge surprise, or that we are doing something wrong. Any thoughts?!

The other day Mari and Ryan were getting the toppings together for making pizza's and Ryan decided to give an onion a taste. Well, he actually liked it and Mari had a hard time getting it away from him. I suppose you can underestimate what a kid will eat.

Jalapenos turn red when they are over ripe, or it gets too hot. Almost all of our jalapenos have been turning red because they are under such extreme heat, and we aren't allowed to water them because of the water restrictions. So they stay really small, and turn red really quickley. Or maybe you are just the man....?
