Softball battle wound

Last Thursday night, Martin was playing softball with his work team. Towards the end of the second game, he became injured. He plays short stop, and when a ball was hit to him, he went to catch it and it hit him dead on the tip of his ring finger. Supposedly everyone on the field heard a loud "pop". After trying to shake it off, he quickly decided he should to get a band aid, as there was a pool of blood in his palm. It caught and split his finger right where the nail meets the skin. Poor Martin! We were unable to get a clear picture of it. Martin claims that it has been extremely painful. Looks like he's probably out for the rest of the season!
