Catching Up

Since we have been so busy we have not posted about a few fun things. A few weeks ago I was down at scout camp with 17 young men. We had a great week and the boys accomplished a lot. The boys completed 128 badges at camp and there were about 12 rank advancements. The boys were very busy...with a lot of motivation on my part...most people call it nagging. In my eyes it was worth it. Mari and the kids came to camp that Friday for family night, but forgot the camera. Below is the only picture from camp. It was taken by another parent.



About a month ago when the Cardall's were in town for the Hospital Hill Run we took the kids fishing. Ryan had been asking for a while to go fishing, so I found my fishing poles, shook the dust off of them, and tried to remember how to tie a fishing knot and off we went. We went to a neighborhood pond close to our house. We had a lot of fun. We didn't have very many bites, but Ryan loved it. The only thing that we caught was Kate's hat that blew into the pond from the wind. It was a blast.
